Interview Tips & Questions

General Tips

Before any interview, we will send you a copy of the job description and confirm the agreed date, time and location, as well as the names of your interviewer(s). Below are some useful hints in preparing for the interview and we will be more than happy to go through the process with you over the phone.

  • Always arrive at the interview on time.
  • Be dressed appropriately.
  • Smile and shake the interviewer's hand firmly.
  • Sit down when invited to do so.
  • Maintain good eye contact with your interviewers.
  • Answers the questions clearly and try not to ramble on.
  • Be polite and friendly to all members of staff.
  • Do not discuss the salary. We will obtain the best rates possible for you.

It pays to be prepared, however you won’t be able to anticipate every question. Here are some key questions to focus on:

  • Tell us a little about yourself?
  • What are your main strengths and weaknesses?
  • What have been your major achievements in your career and life?
  • Why do you want to leave your current position?
  • What are your ambitions?
  • Describe a difficult situation at work and how you handled it?
  • Why would you like the position?
  • Why should we offer you the position?
  • Why do you want to work for this organisation?

Do some background research on the organisation and practice answering these questions out loud or ask a friend to do a mock interview with you.
