We specialise in the recruitment of high quality candidates in the Engineering sector. We have an excellent opportunity for a Fire Alarm Engineer to work for a company based in West Malling.
Monday - Friday, 45hrs per week - On Call 1 week in 5, Overtime Available
£30,000 - £32,000 per annum + Van + Mobile
Fire Alarm Engineer’s Core Duties
- Maintaining, finding faults and rectifying fire alarms
- Preparing relevant documentation in line with issues and solutions
- Work on a variety of alarm systems, from hardwired, wireless to hybrid
- Support with fire alarm servicing and installations
- Be on-call (1 week in 5) and attend call outs as necessary
Fire Alarm Engineer’s Experience Required
- Knowledge of fire standards and legislation
- Experience with Fire Alarms
- FIA training - Foundation minimum
- Health & Safety certification - manual handling, asbestos, working at heights, first aid
- 18th Edition - IEE Wiring Regulations
- ECS card
- Full driving licence
- Initiative and motivated
- Excellent time management
- Professional and presentable with great customer service skills
- Satisfactory references and a DBS check
Fire Alarm Engineer’s Desirable Skills
- Good knowledge of ISO 9000, BS5839 & BAFE
- Experience with wireless systems (EMS)
- Experience with Gent
- Experience with installation and commissioning
- FIA FD&A Advanced Installer and FD&A Advanced Maintainer
- Experience with Cash for Windows
