We specialise in the recruitment of high quality candidates in the IT Support sector. We have an excellent opportunity for a Systems Administrator to join our client based in Reigate, Surrey.
System Administrator’s Core Duties
- Install and configure software and hardware
- Maintain cloud and on premise services including Microsoft 365, BuilderStorm and COINS
- Manage network servers and technology tools
- Set up accounts and workstations
- Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements
- Troubleshoot issues and outages
- Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls
- Upgrade systems with new releases and models
- Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies
- Build an internal wiki with technical documentation, manuals and IT policies
System Administrator’s Key Skills and Experience
- 3+ years Linux experience
- 3+ years Windows experience
- Experience of PC hardware builds, troubleshooting and support
- Experience maintaining multi-platform environments - ideally mixed Windows/Linux/Mac OS environments
- Knowledge of networking protocols and services, such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, L2TP
- Basic scripting knowledge (Bash, Powershell)
