We specialise in the recruitment of high quality candidates in the Education sector. We have an excellent opportunity for a School Administrator / Attendance Administrator.
Part-Time - 8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday - Friday (32.5 hours/week) - 38 weeks per year (term time)
Salary - £19,698 - £23,080 pro-rata Actual salary: £14,370 - £16,837 (includes holiday entitlement)
School Administrator / Attendance Administrator’s Core Duties
- To manage student attendance registers effectively and efficiently
- Receive telephone calls from parents/carers related to absences/lateness
- Effectively organise and implement all administrative tasks pertaining to lateness
- "First day absence" contact for students not in and for all persistent absentees (<90%)
- Maintain the school’s attendance action tracker
- Carry out attendance audit each period to identify missing students
- Produce reports and rewards for tutor groups with 100% attendance
- Ensure all relevant information regarding absence/lateness is entered on to database
- Send attendance concern letters as appropriate
- Maintain & manage all information systems that relate to attendance
- Complete and return paperwork for students removed from roll
- Produce attendance data for termly awards
- Provide general clerical and administrative support related to attendance and punctuality
- Provide general advice and guidance to staff with regards to attendance
- Produce a daily absence report for staff in Excel, detailing student’s reason for absence
School Administrator / Attendance Administrator’s Skills required
- Good interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate with a wide range of people
- A flexible and adaptable approach to working in a very busy environment
- Good IT skills including working knowledge of Word, Excel and Bromcom student database
- Ability to work with minimal supervision under pressure and as part of a team
- First Aid qualification or willingness to train
- The ability to maintain confidentiality
