We specialise in the recruitment of high quality candidates in the Accountancy sector. We have an excellent opportunity for a Payments Administrator to join a very successful accountancy firm based in Grays Essex.

Payments Clerk’s Core Duties

  • Using data sent by clients to agree payments to be made to their contractors
  • Create summaries and invoices for the contractors and client (using Excel/Sage/Pegasus)
  • Create payment files (BACS etc) and upload into Bank payment system (Barclays.net)
  • Create automatic text messages to subcontractors to notify payments
  • Maintain records of balances held for clients and report to accounts team to assist reconciliations
  • Liaise with client payment teams and answer subcontractor queries

Payments Clerk’s Key Experience

  • Good IT Skills
  • Good Excel skills
  • Experienced user of Sage / Pegasus would be useful although not essential
