We specialise in the recruitment of high quality candidates in the Childcare sector and we currently have three vacancies for a Nursery Practitioner and/or Room Leader. The roles can be based either in their Buckhurst Hill or Chingford nurseries and are paid at the following rates depending on level of qualification and experience:

Level 2 Qualified Nursery Practitioner - £19,760/annum

Level 3 Qualified Nursery Practitioner - £21,840/annum

Room Leader - £24,960/annum

Nursery Practitioner’s Core Duties

To ensure all children have access to the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework
To create and foster development, safety, and welfare of the children
To work as part of a team, to plan, prepare and deliver activities to meet the individual needs
To provide activities and resources that reflect the multicultural nature of the community
To attend at least 3 parent/carers meeting a year
To take responsibility for the care and the use of the resources in your room
To prepare and serve meals, being aware of individual dietary requirements
To contribute to providing a safe and secure environment for the children
To be a key person, ensuring the nursery is fun, educational, and they are cared for
To maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness at all times
To complete accurate daily records and contribute to nursery meetings as required
To keep parents fully informed of their child’s health, welfare and educational progress
To be aware of Health & Safety procedures for the nursery, children, staff, and parents
To make yourself and others aware of the policies and procedures in place at the nursery
To understand safeguarding policy and procedure
To know and treat some information as confidential to yourself and to your line manager

Room Leader’s Additional Core Duties

Support and supervise the staff with their day to day duties
Develop open and positive working relationships with staff
Be fully aware of all emergency and security procedures
To ensure all necessary steps are taken to keep children safe and well
Support the Manager and staff during inspections and assist with recommendations
Promote the nursery to current parents and potential customers

Nursery Practitioner / Room Leader Skills Required
