We specialise in the recruitment of high quality candidates in the Events Management sector. We have an excellent opportunity for a Membership and Events Manager who will help to develop and deliver market leading membership and events services, supporting the hub to create trade, investment and innovation opportunities for Scottish businesses.

Membership and Events Manager’s Core Duties

  • Lead and manage the front of house service and executive team
  • Drive sustainable membership of the Hub through acquisition of customers and retention through delivery of valued services and membership benefits
  • Develop and design event plans which are inspiring and deliver opportunities for the Hub’s members
  • Provide support and assistance across the company for activity with the Scottish Government and other areas should it become necessary
  • Lead the membership recruitment campaigns
  • Lead the administration of the membership application and renewal process
  • Act as super user and administrator for associated membership online systems
  • Manage payments of all membership fees that are handled off line including processing of invoices and debtor management
  • Design and Implement regular member communications via a newsletter, online and social channels
  • Support the design and execution of creative and effective marketing campaigns
  • Lead the management of hub service providers including stationary, catering & couriers

Membership and Events Manager’s Skills required

  • Basic educational standard (GCSE) to high standard including Maths and English
  • Track record of delivering excellent customer service
  • Experience of securing revenue and sales in a service environment
  • ICT Literacy with competence in Microsoft Office packages
  • Able to demonstrate an understanding of business processes and business acumen
  • Experience of Event planning and management
  • Experience of marketing services, developing inspiring effective campaigns
  • Experience of leading operational team’s delivery services to the end-users
  • Experience of using a Customer Relationship Manager database
  • Experience of working for a membership organisation
