We specialise in the recruitment of high quality candidates in the Marketing sector. We have an excellent opportunity for a Marketing Manager, who will play a critical role in promoting a portfolio of conferences, workshops and development programmes. In addition, the Marketing Manager will support the wider communications and brand management, and be an integral part of the team, leading the planning of all marketing campaigns, developing conference brands, and driving registrations and revenue.

Office based - with work from Home Days per week

Maternity Contract - 8 months approx.

Marketing Manager’s Core Duties

  • Produce, manage and execute marketing plans and budgets across channels
  • Drive registrations, revenue, and performance metrics around member engagement
  • Write marketing copy to engage senior management audiences
  • Build and send email campaigns and direct mail, and manage event web pages
  • Manage the database and prepare campaigns with segmented marketing data
  • Develop branding for conferences and programmes
  • Work with designers to manage the production of marketing collateral and digital assets
  • Devise innovative ways to market events
  • Analyse and report on marketing performance data, such as Google Analytics
  • Plan and deliver retention communications to ensure the long-term engagement with members
  • Manage, and work with the wider team, to maintain of the website
  • Support the production of internal performance reports on marketing and communications
  • Provide input and support for content production across blogs, news, press and social media

Marketing Manager’s Skills Required

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and confident networker and negotiator
  • Very strong attention to detail and skilled editor of written and digital content
  • Ability to create targeted mailing lists from large datasets
  • Highly competent in using mass email systems/platforms to build and send email campaigns
  • Excellent understanding of marketing metrics and the ability to analyse data
  • Ability to work flexible and unsocial hours including evenings if required

Marketing Manager’s Key Experience

  • Significant experience delivering multi-channel B2B marketing campaigns
  • Experience writing excellent marketing copy for senior-level/ decision makers
  • Experience working on concurrent multiple projects and delivering to tight deadlines
  • Experience of meeting and exceeding event revenue targets
  • Experience of managing event marketing budgets and achieving maximum ROI
  • Experience of website content management systems (CMS)
  • Experience of running social media campaigns and writing engaging content (organic and paid)
  • Experience of using CRM databases
  • Experience of analysing marketing performance data and producing reports
  • Experience of dealing with the press and media (desirable)
  • Experience of briefing and managing external suppliers or stakeholders
  • Experience of working in a policy, education, or association organisation (desirable)
