We specialise in the recruitment of high quality candidates in the Marketing sector. We have an excellent opportunity for a Marketing and Communications Manager. This is a fantastic role to work on a nationwide programme, which is part of the government’s package of business support to help businesses to recover and grow following the pandemic. The successful candidate will need to be a highly skilled B2B marketer and content strategist across digital and social media. You will need experience developing and executing marketing plans, which deliver results. It is essential that your copywriting is first class and your attention to detail is outstanding. Ideally you will have experience of working on national campaigns for business audiences, with some experience of working with government or universities.

Flexible working - 2-3 days in the office per week - 2 -3 year contract + possible extension

Marketing and Communications Manager’s Core Duties

  • Plan, build and deliver email marketing campaigns to recruit participants and convert leads
  • Manage the promotion of the project through social media channels
  • Develop and deliver a content strategy on the website and maintain the pages in line with the evolving national campaign
  • Produce and deliver marketing plans to promote the events offered to alumni
  • Develop and deliver a content strategy to include the creation and editing of original content; and the dissemination of it to alumni through social network channels and email
  • Develop plans to foster and manage community engagement among the programme’s 30,000 alumni across a multi-channel and multi-partner approach
  • Support the marketing activity to enlist business leaders who would be willing to mentor participants
  • Coordinate with government communications teams and attend meetings, report on progress, and align activity with the government national campaign
  • Produce and input into reports and analysis on marketing and campaign performance, Google analytics and social media.

Marketing and Communications Manager’s Skills Required

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and confident networker and negotiator
  • Very strong attention to detail and skilled editor of written and digital content
  • Ability to create targeted mailing lists from large datasets
  • Highly competent in using mass email systems/platforms to build and send email campaigns
  • Excellent understanding of marketing metrics and the ability to analyse data

Marketing and Communications Manager’s Key Experience

  • Significant experience delivering multi-channel B2B marketing campaigns
  • Experience writing excellent marketing copy for senior-level/ decision makers
  • Experience working on concurrent multiple projects and delivering to tight deadlines
  • Experience of meeting and exceeding event revenue targets
  • Experience of managing communications budgets and achieving maximum ROI
  • Experience of website content management systems (CMS)
  • Experience of running social media campaigns and writing engaging content (organic and paid)
  • Experience of using CRM databases
  • Experience of analysing marketing performance data and producing reports
  • Experience of briefing and managing external suppliers and stakeholders
  • Experience of working in a policy, education, or association organisation (desirable)
