We specialise in the recruitment of high quality candidates in the Logistics sector. We have an excellent opportunity for a Maintenance Technician with an electrical bias.

The main purpose of the role is to create and enhance all aspects of terminal mechanical and electrical engineering - primarily hands-on maintenance and inspection, as well as to maintain a safe working environment adhering to company and statutory health, safety and environmental regulations.

Salary:£40,000 - £45,000 + Benefits + Discretionary Bonus

Maintenance Technician’s Core Duties

  • Assist in controlling the terminal engineering maintenance and inspection activities including contract labour
  • Ensure safe systems of work are implemented including permits to work
  • Ensure Company engineering standards are adhered to at all times
  • Liaise with Operations and Administration teams
  • Utilise the Company CMMS (Agility) system to input and retrieve information related PPM
  • Assist Operations Department and others in the maintenance department to carry out terminal maintenance work dictated by production priority
  • Provide out of hours support when necessary

Maintenance Technician’s Skills required

  • Qualifications:

o BTEC / HNC or equivalent in Engineering

o NVQ Level 3 Electrical Test and Inspection

o BS7671 18th edition

o CompEx Electrical Certification

o Full UK driving licence

  • Ability to read site drawings
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet appropriate deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel and Word
  • Excellent attention to detail

Maintenance Technician’s Key Experience

  • Previous Electrical technician experience with at least 5 years in an engineering maintenance role
  • Experience in the storage and handling of petroleum liquids and/or chemicals preferably in ship-shore operations
  • Knowledge of maintenance and inspection of transfer systems including pumps, air compressors, vapour recovery, nitrogen systems, CCTV, fire systems and building facilities
  • Knowledge of UK industrial safety standards
  • Knowledge of LV & HV
  • Supervisory experience of junior colleagues
