We specialise in the recruitment of high quality candidates in the Transport & Logistics sector. We have an excellent opportunity for a Logistics Coordinator who will be reporting to the Team Leader based in Prague and responsible for the coordination, monitoring, and progress of the shipment requests to ensure the on-time delivery of products through the Projects, Stores and Logistics teams.

Logistics Coordinator’s Core Duties

  • Coordinate with the projects and sourcing groups to ensure all documentation required for transport is correct and shipment is processed on time to meet customer requirements
  • Manage Project Requests including the information is accurate and timely
  • Appropriate documentation required for transport
  • Organize goods, according to priority, for picking and packing working with Stores & Logistics Team Leader
  • Prepare shipping documentation as appropriate
  • Process imports/ exports ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
  • Manage imports to ensure clearance via approved agents
  • Adhere to all regulations and policies in environmental, health, safety and quality
  • Coordinate shipments based on business CTQ´s including using approved least cost carriers, transit time requirements and no damage
  • Maintain all shipment records and provide reports as requested

Logistics Coordinator’s Skills required

  • Experience in logistics and transport
  • Good level of English
  • Bachelor’s Degree and /or 1-3 years’ experience within the Logistics/Supply Chain
  • Knowledge & experience of customs and excise and shipping for importation and exportation of goods
  • Well organized and must be capable of decision making, prioritizing and multi-tasking, and working to agreed schedules and targets
  • Must also have a flexible approach to the workload
  • Ability to communicate with ease and work with others
  • Likes to take the lead and own issues through to completion
  • Word, Excel experience (confident with maintaining Microsoft Excel databases)
  • Experience in Lean / six sigma is a plus
  • Knowledge & experience of IATA regulations, Transportation of Dangerous Goods
