We specialise in the recruitment of high quality candidates in the Technology sector. We have an excellent opportunity for an IT Support person to join a lovely leading independent school in the outskirts of central Cambridge. The role will suit candidates with strong IT and administration skills. The role will mainly focus on the administration of the PASS information management system used widely in schools.

Tenure: 8:30am - 4:30pm Monday to Friday, 42 weeks per year (term time + 8 weeks), attending periodical special events at weekends/evenings. (10 weeks Holiday per year)

IT Support Core Duties

  • Uploading and maintaining data, including timetables, contact details, academic data
  • Administering Year End Rollover process for the new academic year
  • Updating academic setting information throughout the year
  • User application, account, and administrative support and training
  • Assisting with implementation of new functionality
  • Creating and maintaining academic reports and ODBC queries for statistical analysis
  • Uploading, publishing, and maintaining the school website (CMS Drupal)
  • Monitoring and responding to website queries and enquiries
  • Uploading and publishing official school emails by mail merge on the Parent Portal
  • Monitoring, responding to, and escalating where necessary, emails from the Parent Portal
  • Setting up and administering parent’s events via the school cloud system
  • Supporting the Director of Operations in the review, analysis and implementation of new systems and processes, including testing, writing manuals, and providing training
  • Supporting the administration of the documentation management process

IT Support Key Skills

  • BSc/BA in IT field and/or relevant work experience
  • Strong IT skills and a willingness to undertake further training as necessary
  • Experience in a similar Systems, Data or Application Support role
  • Experience in administering website CMS (Drupal and HTML will be an advantage)
  • Knowledge of SQL and experience in designing and building reports (desirable)
  • Excellent organisational, logic and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail and excellent degree of accuracy
  • Excellent communication, literacy and proofreading skills
  • A capacity to work in a team and independently
  • A satisfactory enhanced DBS check (will be carried out at offer stage)
