We specialise in the recruitment of high quality candidates in the Fundraising and Marketing Sectors. We have an excellent opportunity for a Fundraising and Marketing Assistant to join a wonderful charity initially on a two month contract with potential to extend.

They are looking for the candidate to have a genuine interest in charity fundraising and marketing, strong organisational and communication skills and are driven by a belief in social justice,

You will be a team-player who wants to work with like-minded people and contribute to the success of the evolving fundraising team in providing quality support to some of the most vulnerable and excluded people in London.

Location: Currently Remote, Home based

Contract: Initially 2 months with potential to be extends further

Hours: 35 Hours per week

Fundraising and Marketing Assistant’s Core Duties

  • Overseeing the recording of income, including producing weekly banking reports and working with the Finance Team to reconcile between the Fundraising database and the SAGE financial accounting system monthly
  • Thanking donors appropriately and in a timely manner
  • Responding to enquiries from current and potential supporters
  • Keeping the Fundraising database up to date
  • Managing the generic Fundraising email account, responding to or elevating enquiries, and Mailchimp mailing list
  • Providing scheduling and other administrative support to the Director of Fundraising and Marketing
  • Supporting the wider work of the Fundraising team

Fundraising and Marketing Assistant’s Key Experience

  • Direct experience of, or an active interest in, the third sector in general and charity fundraising and marketing specifically
  • Familiarity with CRM / relationship databases
  • Ideally, some SQL knowledge
  • An understanding of providing strong supporter/customer care
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Social skills to interact effectively with clients, volunteers and colleagues at all levels
  • An eye for detail
  • Competence in IT, including the standard office software programmes (Word, Excel, etc.) and the use of databases
  • Competence in using and updating social media platforms
  • Openness and willingness to learn and develop professional
