We specialise in the recruitment of high quality candidates in the Cybersecurity Engineering sector. We have an excellent opportunity for a Cybersecurity Engineer / IT Engineer to work for a leading sports retailer. As part of the IT team, you will be responsible to create a concrete cybersecurity strategy for the country, working closely with local and international teams and their associated KPI’s.
Salary: up to £50,000 per annum + Amazing benefits
Hybrid Working - 3 days in the Surrey Quays office / 2 days from Home
Cybersecurity Engineer / IT Engineer’s Core Duties
- Guard all company data, particularly sensitive data, from both internal and external threats by designing broad defences against would-be intruders
- Take the lead on day-to-day monitoring for unusual activities, implement defensive protocols, and report incidents
- Collaborate with other members of the cybersecurity team to develop new protocols, layers of protection, and other both proactive and defensive systems that stay one step ahead of cyber criminals
- Maintain security guidelines, procedures, standards and controls documentation
- Maintain a working knowledge of current cybercrime tactics
Cybersecurity Engineer / IT Engineer’s Key Skills
- Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology or related field
- 2+ years’ experience in Cybersecurity at a mid- to large-size business
- Above 2 years’ experience in the use of support/ticketing tool
- Fluent in English speaking and writing. Excellent communication skills are mandatory
- Strong knowledge of IT, including hardware software and networks
- A meticulous eye for detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Natural leadership and good communication skills
- Able to manage your time effectively, you must be autonomous and well organised
- Responsible for your priorities and committed to a high standard of service
- Work well as part of a team that is not in the same location as you
