We specialise in the recruitment of high quality candidates in the Hospitality sector. We have an excellent opportunity for a Conference & Events Manager to manage the full logistics of 3 high-profile conferences in Birmingham, Leeds, and Manchester for a registered charity.
Hourly rate equivalent to £32,000 - £34,000
10 to 12-week contract
Hybrid working - Mondays and Fridays from home
Conference & Events Manager’s Core Duties
- Responsible for full conference and event logistics
- Coordinate list of panellists and attendees, biographies and headshots
- Send invitations to panellists and attendees, and manage responses
- Prepare panellist briefing packs
- Manage list of attendees and create name badges
- Coordinate all logistics details with the venue, including catering, equipment, AV, timings, etc.
- Attend all events, with potential overnight stays
- Support with registration on the day of the event and ensure smooth running of the event
- Provide event analytics, including attendee and rsvp rates
- Support the EA team with any other duties related to this series of events
Conference & Events Manager’s Skills Required
- 2-3 years’ experience organising conferences for up to 200 guests
- Excellent organisational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with contract negotiation and vendor management
- Able to work independently and meet tight deadlines
- Pro-active, creative and solution orientated
- High level MS Office skills (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
- Experience with mail merge to create name badges
- Flexible and adaptable
- Experience in the charity sector (desirable)
