AV Support Technician

We specialise in the recruitment of high quality candidates in the IT Support sector. We have an excellent opportunity for a skilled IT & AV Technician for a leading technical rental company for the events and entertainment industries. The role will suit someone with a strong technical knowledge of hardware, who will support the Technical Manager in preparing a range of equipment for clients.

Salary: £30,000 - £33,000 + Bonus

IT & AV Support Technician’s Core Duties

• Servicing and maintaining equipment to the highest possible standard
• Maintaining accurate records for stock and quality control
• Testing devices - new hardware, and equipment when it returns from clients
• Imaging, preparing, and installing computers at client sites
• Using device management systems to configure multiple tablets, iMacs, or VR headsets
• Preparing the latest and sleekest devices as props for film and TV
• Installing, servicing & operating larger equipment (servers & workstations, video walls, projectors and large screens, PA systems, mixing desks, & video conferencing equipment)
• Answering incoming technical support calls, and helping the sales team with tech solutions

IT & AV Support Technician’s Key Skills

• Solid commercial IT support or Event Tech experience
• Sound technical knowledge of hardware - Preferably IT & AV
• At least 2 years with the same employer during the past 6 years
• Full clean UK Driving Licence with experience of driving commercial vehicles (Ford Transit sized vans) - desirable
• Comfortable lifting and moving servers and large screens
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail
