Role: Technical Advisor
Salary £27k – £31k
Location: Woking, Surrey
Our client is looking to recruit a Technical Advisor (intruder alarms and nurse call systems)
Key responsibilities
•Telephone support - technical support, requests for engineer, invoicing queries, report requests, internal communication, progressing goods with other departments
•Service Engineers - schedule re-active calls, test & commission calls, maintain stock levels for all engineers. Liaise on a daily basis to discuss work and support engineers when encountering problems on site
•Co-ordinate repair of our client's products. Cost and invoice accordingly. Prepare reports and quotations following engineer visit
•Co-ordinate test and commission orders, liaise with contractor/customer, obtain program of works

Candidate Profile
•Educated to BTEC HND or equivalent level of intellectual thinking in a relevant discipline such as computing, science, engineering or mathematics
•Self starter, with a clear focus on high quality customer support. A methodical forward planner, comfortable dealing with people on all levels. Reliable, tolerant, and determined. Able to empathize with other peoples perspectives
•Keen for new experiences, likes responsibility and accountability. Able to work well with others and be a team-player
•Understands the principles of Service Management
•Must be adept in use of MS Office, particularly Excel and Word, and ideally Access or similar database usage, also common Internet applications and services (e-mail, Web, etc.)
•Able to understand profit and loss calculations and basic business finance, e.g., gross margin percentages and calculations, depreciation, capital and revenue expenditure, cash-flow, overheads
• Ideal background would be in support services; experience of intruder alarms and nurse call systems would be particularly helpful. Experience of tenders would also be useful
•Proven experience in a technical customer service/technical support environment and people management skills would be an advantage
•Excellent communication skills in order to provide clear and concise telephone and e-mail support
•Committed to service excellence, self motivated
•Able to remain calm and focussed in an ever changing environment
