General Summary:
Our client, an American Law Firm, one of the largest in the world requires a Litigation Support Operations Coordinator to join their team. The litigation Support Operations Coordinator is responsible for supervising the daily functions of temporary and permanent dedicated processing staff. He or she assists and offers guidance to staff under her or his direct control including Analysts and Specialists, providing a high level of support in the areas of litigation matters. He or she assists in the provision of advanced technical case support and guidance to attorneys, paralegals and their clients. He or she will also assist in the provision of advice and practical support to attorneys, paralegals and staff with regards to litigation support work such as e-discovery, document reviews, document productions and trial support.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Mentors, coaches and educates dedicated processing staff and leads them in their professional development endeavors.
2. Coordinates the daily operations of the processing staff and ensuring the highest quality of project delivery and support.
3. Identifies training needs/ issues, and supports the development, implementation, and assessment of on-going practice support training programs; assists with the orientation of all new processing staff team members.
4. Makes recommendations to the Supervisor, Director and the Human Resources department regarding hiring and training of processing staff.
5. Leads team toward accurate and timely completion of assignments and responses to inquires. Ensures that all tasks and duties are completed within the firm’s set guidelines and policies.
6. Works with the Supervisor to create standards and procedures in the areas of processing, review and production of documents and electronically stored information (ESI) as well as project workflow, data storage, and quality assurance.
7. Recommends protocols and best practices to the Supervisor in the areas of electronic discovery document review, productions, depositions and trial preparation.
8. Educates processing staff on current practice support software and tools (e.g., Concordance, CaseLogistix, CaseMap, TimeMap, LiveNote, DealProof, iCONECTnXT, CPI, ClientNET, etc)
9. Provides support and guidance to processing staff in case-related database maintenance, database uploads, indexing, automation, testing, backups, restores and related issues that may arise.
10. Meets and coordinates with Litigation Support Services, or with local office project teams, where these exist, regarding active cases to provide necessary support and resources.
11. Keeps abreast of new technologies in electronic discovery. Participates in vendor demonstrations via web meeting or other presentation methods. Works with Technology staff to assess training and development needs.

Qualifications Required |

Education
•Bachelor’s degree required. •Six (6) years relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Work Experience
•Six (6) years of paralegal or litigation support experience required. •Three (3) years relevant supervisory experience required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
•Excellent leadership skills (i.e., organizing, planning, problem-solving and decision-making) necessary for effective supervision. •Project Management skills (e.g. organizing, planning, documenting) •Sound understanding of UK e-discovery law and practice. Knowledge of issues arising from foreign languages and character sets, ability to advise on forensic recovery and examination of data and / or ability to advise on preservation, collection and processing of data in EU countries besides the UK preferred.
•Excellent knowledge and proficiency in e-discovery (EDD) processing tools, early case assessment and review platforms (i.e. IPRO, LAW Pre-discovery, Clearwell, Relativity, etc).
•Sound understanding of database technology required, including but not limited to relational and flat file database systems, data types, indexing and queries. Ability to create MS Access databases and / or support SQL 2005 preferred.
•Ability to troubleshoot systems, Litigation support third party software(s) and network errors.
•Excellent knowledge and proficiency in the following tools: LAW Pre-discovery, Concordance, iCONECTnXT.
